What Happened at 5:30 am on Word and R...

This is us....Naomi, Heaven and Bebbie...:D Uncle Elias is not in these pics as he was hiding behind the camera, but I bear witness that he walked all the way to Otopeni with us at 5:40 am on that freezing February morning.
Naomi's birthday was the reason for this outing...

Belated Merry Christmas

Disculpen por no haber hecho el tiempo para escribir algo de Navidad. Apenas anoche pude tomar unas fotitas...
Espero que se la hayan pasado super en Navidad y que este nuevo año sea lleno de bendiciones, amor y felicidad de Jesus.
Los amo mucho. Salgo hoy para la ciudad de Timisoara, Rumania para una fiesta....yay!!! De ahi me voy a Hungria el 4 de Enero a recojer mi visa, por favor oren en el poder de las llaves para que no haya ni una otra complicacion y pueda recojerla el 5. Tambien que haya "cochetas" disponibles cuando me regrese a Bucharest.

Cuando regrese pondre mas fotos... y para todos uds que no la conocen; Naomi (la de la fotor) es mi super amiga Rumana... (now, Flo, don't get jelouse--you know I love you!)

Flo, you are such a love. I miss those nights we stayed up late and talked till forever. Witnessing with you was lots of fun and you always helped to keep me looking on the bright side no matter how boring or slow the day was. Thank you for your sweet you and your cuddliness. Te amo!

Salio lo Cruz!!!

3 chicas, un vestido, una peluca y mucho aburrimiento... este es el resultado...

Tengo ya 2 meses aqui en Serbia...el clima a cambiado tanto. Hace dos semanas estabamos a unos 33-38 grados. Por los ultimos 3 dias no ha parado de llover y la temperatura bajo a 10 grados!! BRRRR!!!

Still Around....Just Got Lost for a Bit....

So it has been a LONG time since I have posted anything. I can really explain why that's been:
1. Moved from Romania to Sarajevo, Bosnia the land of war-torn buildings and hearts, snipers, Muslims and beautful sceneries.
2. I don't have a camera nor did anyone in the Home.
3. Manu was actually supposed to post some stuff, too...but he's not gotten around to it. :D
4. I don't have a camera
5. I don't have a camera, wait, didn't I say that already?
Oh, another big happening was Exit, wich I attended with 50 other Fam peopel from all over EE. It was super duper cool!! Exit is a Rock music festival held in the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. People from all over Europe come to rock out, party, drink and drown out their problems. TG we know the truth and were there to give it to them!
After Exit, I was supposed to go to Belgrade and pick up my visa so I could go back home to Bosnia. But the Lord had another plan for me...and now I am looking for a home. So really keep me in your prayers.
Anyways, these pics are at the Petrovaradin Castle here in Novi Sad. I went out on my last "family day" with this wonderful family--the Holl's. Really cool people, Canadians :p...(yes, Flo, you have my permission to smile that cheeky smile!--I love you!)

Una probadita Arabe...

Ayer sali con un amigo a ver el viejo centro de la capital de Rumania, Bucarest.
Encontramos un pasaje arabe donde hay cafeterias/restaurantes y tienda, etc.
Y claro, no pude pasar la oportunidad de probar un "pipa de agua" o "hookah".
( foto a la izq.) Se puede usar para fumar diferentes sustancias como frutas herbales y tabacco.
Su origen es de Arabia, pero atra vez del imperio Turco Ottoman a diversos paises.
Dependiendo de la localidad, tiene diferentes nombres tales como: shisha, nargile, okka.
Bueno, esa fue la experiencia del dia...claro, solo por conocer...:D

A hookah (Arabic: شيشة; Hindustani: हुक़्क़ा / حقّہ) is a multi-stemmed, often glass-based water pipe device for smoking, originating from Arabia but gained fame and spread to the world under the Ottoman Turks.^{[citation needed]} A hookah operates by water-filtration and indirect heat. It can be used for smoking many substances, such as herbal fruits and tobacco. Depending on locality, hookahs are known as other names, such as a shisha/sheesha, water pipe, nargeela/nargile/narghile/nargileh, argeela/arghileh, okka, kalyan, gewat suckre, hubble bubble, or ghelyoon/ghalyan. Many of these names are of Arab, Somalian, Indian, Ethiopian, Turkish, Uzbek, or Persian origin. Narghile (نارگيله) is from the Persian word nārgil (نارگیل) or “coconut”, and in Sanskrit nārikela (नारीकेल) and it was made out of coconut shells.^[1] Shisha (شيشة) is from the Persian word shishe (شیشه, literally translated as glass and not bottle). Hashish (حشيش) is an Arabic word for grass, which may have been another way of saying tobacco. Another source states, “In early Arabic texts, the term hashish referred not only to cannabis resin but also to the dried leaves or flower heads and sweetmeats made with them”.^[2] Hookah itself may stem from Arabic uqqa, meaning small box, pot, or jar. Both names refer to the original methods of constructing the smoke/water chamber part of the hookah.

Narghile is the name most commonly used in Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Israel, Bulgaria and Romania, though the initial “n” is often dropped in Arabic. Shisha is more commonly seen in Egypt, Bahrain, Morocco, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Somalia. In Iran it is called ghalyoun or ghalyan (قليان) and in Pakistan and India it is referred to as huqqa. The archaic form of this latter name, hookah is most commonly used in English for historical reasons, as it was in India that large numbers of English-speakers first sampled the effects of the water pipe.
